The Employment Assistance Programs offered by Speedy Mentors are designed to help individuals augment their skills and build relevant industry/job role experience to help improve their job prospects and employability. The programs are project-based and come with the opportunity to have one-on-one mentorship with a vetted mentor from a top company.
Each program runs for 12 weeks. Within the said period, you can complete your chosen program at your own time and pace.
Undergraduates, new graduates, and career switchers can apply to any of our Employment Assistance Programs. We would like to point out, however, that while we do not require any prior experience in any of the disciplines our programs cover, having a background knowledge in them will be helpful in understanding concepts and completing given tasks and projects.
As mentioned, each Employment Assistance Program comes with the opportunity to receive personalised guidance and support through one-on-one mentorship.
Our mentors come from different disciplines and have their respective areas of specialisation. Some are startup founders, while others are C-level executives and senior staff from top companies. There are also mentors whose academic or previous work background are not related to a discipline covered by any of our program, but eventually transitioned careers and have found success in the world data analysis, software testing, project management, etc.
To ensure that we provide quality mentoring experience to graduates and young professionals, we have set up a vetting process that carefully assesses the skills of prospective mentors as well as their ability to share their experiences and expertise. Additionally, we have an ongoing process of assessment in place to check up on mentors' performance throughout their service, making sure they are doing their job of assisting mentees in their professional development and career advancement.
Our program administrators usually match mentors and mentees based on the mentee's goals, interests, and specific areas of focus. They take into consideration the mentor's expertise and availability as well. The matching process aims to create mutually beneficial relationships that align with the goals of both parties.
Different mentors offer different mentorship programs and experiences. So, what you can expect during mentorship will depend on the mentor you will be working with. Whoever the mentor you end up with, though, the minimum services they can provide to you include:
Several mentors also provide such services as the following:
Take note that majority of the mentors on Speedy Mentors are working full time and have other obligations. They are providing mentorships during their free time. Because of these, do not expect them to spend long hours going in-depth on a personal project you are working on or provide you 24-hour support and immediate responses. Rest assured, however, that they will get in touch with you as soon as they are available.
Take note that since there is no pre-structured curriculum to follow, each mentorship session may vary depending on your needs and the availability of your mentor. For instance, at the start of the week, your mentor may assign you a task that you need to complete and submit within 3 days. By the end of the week, your mentor may check in with you to provide feedback on your work and discuss any issue you may have encountered while working on the task.
Your mentor is there to help you on your professional development by imparting to you their knowledge, experience and skills and point you towards the right resources that can contribute to the achievement of your goals.
There is no limit on how many times you can interact with your mentor in a week. You can contact them at any time, but you may have to wait for a reply (do not forget that they have jobs, too), which should not take more than a day or two.
Each program costs £2,495. All the other details can be found on the individual page of your chosen program, or you may also contact our team.
The payment process and options will be communicated by our consultant when you are accepted into the program.
